The intention of this collection of essays on Karl Kraus is to rediscover his extraordinary literary work in the light of its political and moral importance. Austria was to him the "laboratory of world destruction", the space of language barbarism: he thought that poets are the un-acknowledged legislators of the world. The book is a collection of many essays written by prominent theoreticians and experts on Austrian literature and culture.
